Scars tell the best stories... Leo's Scar L ight kissed the sky, turning it hues of rose, canary, and tangerine, the fiery ball peeking over the distant mountains, lighting the tawny sand, heavy footed steps crushed the earth beneath him, leaving his two beat pattern in the sand. Muscles churned as he moved through the deep footing, harks flickering, and nostrils testing the oxygen. Boa held level with his withers, cadance dripped from his strides, and some annoyance riddled his mind. He thought for sure his reverse psychology would work on the mare, Boudicca, but she didn't follow; didn't even budge. She had just stood there! When a fine brute like him was there, obviously flirting with her, well just trying to get her to his home where he could do what he wished with her; but still flirting. It baffled him, but what left him more concerned than anything was the fact that he hadn't stopped thinking about her since they had parted ways. What was it about her that had him so far lost in thoughts about her? Her frame, her pheromones, that agitated look in her glossy pools, or the fact that she took his crap with a grain of salt? That she didn't want to bother herself with emotions, but she clearly looked like she would be one to watch in a fight. Arousal struck his mass as he thought more intense thoughts about the mare, wanting to kick himself for leaving without forcing her along with him. Oh well, he'd hunt her down one of these days, till then he would just go about rummaging to find members that would join his herd, willingly or foced. As he approached the deep oasis, his mind settled on thoughts of the mare, letting his retentive memory recall every curve, ivory blemish, and alluring aspect of the inky vixen. Braces eagerly ascended into the warm h20, belly deep before they hesitated, kissers skimming the finest and warmest of the water. A snort pierced the air, stud letting his garnet tassels brush the agua as he moved deeper into the watering hole. Words: 345 Muse: Alright I guess... Other:

ugh, how she was quickly growing to loathe the sound of snow. the way it crunched underfoot, slowly yet completely soaking cold. she was a tall lady, and so was able to traveled over the taller drifts with relative ease. the winter was especially harsh this time around; hopefully it'd kill off some of the weaker gene pool. that, she could appreciate. but nevertheless mind had been set on locating the beach, or somewhere where bones could thaw. she would have gotten farther faster but she couldn't pass up a chance when she saw some chance grazing. though physique was wonderfully fit; she was large and so required quite the amount of food to sustain herself. that, and she stopped in for a visit with her sister. Logan had been quite, barely acknowledging her presence though he was hospitable enough. after a quick hello and goodbye session she was on her way again.
after a few hours had passed the snow eventually vanished from underneath, and turned to patchy grass. from there, a few more hours down the road and it became sand that gave way at the least touch. ah ha! a lovely destination. the always warm air seemed to bake obsidian hide in a fabulous way and it was hard not to revel in it. appendages soon found themselves quickly cantering up one side of the dunes, only to slide quickly down the other. an hour or two passed in this manner, and she found herself wonderfully lost. then again, being a newcomer to these lands, she really never knew exactly where she was. when the sun began to rise, it made ebony coat glisten under it's light coating of sweat. it felt wonderful, to be honest. since she had slowed to admire another sunrise, senses were more aware than they had been a few minutes ago. a familiar aroma teased nostrils, and crown turned to left, where she suspected their source was. now really, if this was what she thought; what were the chances? she had made plans long ago to find a place like this; she had been around him when thinking such things but never voiced them. what a chance coincidence. she passed over two or three dunes in her continuing manner, but on the last one she only walked to the crest. before she reached it a snort cut the silence. a small smile passed over kissers as she reached the summit and stopped. looking down, there was the crimson beast she had met only a day or two before.
What do we have here?
lithe limbs then began to slowly descend the dun, attention mostly on the stallion though towers twitched at the random sound. Boudicca wasn't really thirsty, having filled her gut before take-off, though with the heat of the day that was sure to come another sip wouldn't hurt.

Scars tell the best stories... Leo's Scar A cute harks oscillated atop his crimson crown, optics focused forward as he waded in the pool of cool water, a fever rose in this land; pleasing the stallion. Mind wondering to his home, the warmth of the desert mixed with the chilled salty air, the perfect place to perfect his asylum for all the unstable equines he would create; through beating, battering, and just plain mind f*cking. A sinister grin pulling at his velveteen lips, a low amused chuckle tightening his vocal cords, lines relaxing as he stopped snickering and listened to his surroundings. Nostrils tested the air, someone was there, the scent of a hoofed mammal mixed with the lingering fragrance of the sand. Boa craning his profile to check behind him, optics spotting an inky horse cresting a dune, the essence finally recognized; Boudicca! Here she came, crawling back to him, a creak of a smile pulled to one side of his face at her comment, "Well well, looky there. Miss. Boudicca. What are you doing here?" He stepped from the water, letting his mass penetrate her personal bubble, muzzle grazing her's to take in her scent. He was amused that she had showed up, after all he couldn't get his mind off the pretty little thing, the brute carefully taking a step back out of her space; he knew equines in her range agitated her greatly. "Are you following me?" His tone sarcastic as he winked a single glassy globe at the murky color fae. Words: 249 Muse: Other:

dark eyes followed the crimson beast as he made his way over and met up with before she was on totally flat ground. of course, he came up as close as he pleased with no respect for her space. ah, this one enjoyed annoying her, huh? guess she couldn't say much, seeing as she tended to be the same way. of course he had a snappy remark for the coincidence. a snarky smile formed on kissers at his touch, but she kept her mouth shut. for now. it was a small surprise to see him take a step back. the fellow was a smart one! at his next inquiry the ebony xanthipphe began walking forward, making sure to flick banner so that it brushed his neck.
Same thing as you, stranger. The cold was awful, so I found someplace warmer. And now, a drink is in order. I'm sure the water is still drinkable, even though you touched it.
a laugh escaped kissers, something Boudicca didn't do all too often. it didn't fit her persona, as the laugh was cheery and upbeat. but hey, that's the laugh she was born with. she continued on past him, coming closer to the water's edge. alabaster-tipped limbs didn't stop at the watery boundary, but kept intruding on the borders until she was up past knees. tiara then lowered some and sipped the bounty. tongue ran over lips, savoring and testing. yep, still fully drinkable. had a bit of a musky taste from the stallion, but it wasn't all that bad. serpentine twisted so she looked back at the stallion several yards away.
Oh, definitely. You know me, I have nothing better to do than follow you around like a puppy
man, she was just coating on the sarcasm. you'd think by now she would have cut back some, but eh. he could take it. plus his remarks were highly entertaining and she enjoyed antagonizing him. appendages walked a few feet further into the water until it was well past belly-line and she took a few large gulps to sate thirst.

Scars tell the best stories... Leo's Scar A chuckle pressed his kissers, amused that the mare was getting a little bit of a kick out of the conversation as well, watching her plush lips skim the water; throat gulping at her intake of liquid. "I know that's all you wish and dream for is to be with me." Snickering as he spoke, he knew she'd rather have nothing to do with him. He wanted her, all of her, but he knew he couldn't take her the way he'd always taken mares. He was softening for her, the brute wanting to kick himself in the rump for it, but it wouldn't be bad so long as he didn't dwindle his gift of powerful leadership with the rest of his herd; right? Shaking his geranium crown, forelock draping over a single globe, the cow stepping toward the ebony vixen; fighting the urge to touch her again. He didn't know what to say, the brute lowering his muzzle to the lake, taking in a small amount of agua to try to think of something quick and witty to say to the beautiful vixen. Not a single phrase could come to mind, he hadn't been speechless like this... Ever, now that he thought about it. What was it about this mare that had his heart melting ever so slightly, that had his tongue in a knot, and had him wanting to please her instead of himself. Exhaling quietly, words still escaping him, "So how are you?" He wanted to kick himself again for that, but he couldn't think of anything else and now he couldn't take it back. Globes locked with her's, boa holding his crania at a low but proud level, unsure of what to say or if to say anything more at all. Words: 295 Muse: Other:

charcoal dove remained quiet for a spell, smirking at his first comment, but preferring to continue drinking rather than having to have a retort. the liquid was cooling as it relieved the itch that came with sand and sun. after a few gulps she couldn't help but splash herself thoroughly with a for-leg. with most of her body quite soaked, it was due time to exit the waters. when his inquiry reached her, a small half-smile crept upon kissers. pillars halted, and she looked to the crimson beast
I'm doing lovely, thanks for asking. How 'bout yourself?
gah. the words were boring but they still held the flair that vocals had a habit of adding. she was alive, and so it was a good day. the cooling droplets rolled off muscled hide as she stood on the waters edge, attention for once given to the ruby stallion

Scars tell the best stories... Leo's Scar S he wasn't giving him much to work with was she? He was babbling about nonsense, asking how she was, when all he wanted was to take her home; back to his land. A reluctant sigh passed his nares, the cow turning to let hungry kissers nibble at the small amount of emerald strands that pushed their way to protrude the layers of sand. "I'm well, just making a quick stop before I return to my land." Orbs scanned the mare carefully, she was brilliant in conformation and coloration, and her ridged personality allured him. Shaking a cluttered skull the brute lifted his crania, harks swiveling to hear the surroundings, waiting for something or someone to tell him what to do or say; was there even a right thing to do or say in this situation? Scar turned to the inky damsel, "Boudicca, I have an offer for you. I'd like for you to come with me, to be my mare, my queen. I also have not been completely honest with you, but I know wish to be; I'm what most would describe as evil. I lurk in the shadows, hunt like a carnivore for my next victim, prey on their weaknesses and thrive on them all in the same moment. I've been known to hurt those around me, and typically I don't think twice about it, but with you... I'm confused. All I've ever wanted from a mare is the bare minimum, to taunt them and to leave them rot in my lands; all I have been able to think about since our last meeting is you, and not in the way you may think. I enjoy your company, our banter, I mean don't get me wrong I find your frame attractive, but that isn't all I've thought about." He stopped a moment, trying to collect his thoughts, he'd never ranted about his emotions; hell he'd never had emotions before... Not like this. Exhaling heavily, plush lips parted again. "What I mean to say is... I'd like you to be with me." He ended it there, there was no more to say, that was simply all he wanted. Unsure that the words even came from his mouth, Scar back-tracked the conversation, closing his lids to roll his pools to himself. Words: 380 Muse: Other:

after the stallion had spilled his banter, the ebonite minx grew silent. golden eyes just glared emptily at him, with perhaps a touch of confusion. his words were a surprise, and she found this new sensation that grew in her belly to be quite odd. no one had ever spoken to her like that, and she wasn't quite sure how to go about it. I mean, there had been plenty of times when she was invited back to someone's abode. there had even been a time or two when she was asked to be lead. but the undertone in his voice was tantalizing. there was yearning that any would be hard-pressed to fake. that was what made the sensation in gut so unique and Boudicca didn't quite know what to do or how to handle it. was it bashfulness? tentativeness? whatever the hell it was, it was strange.
the awkward heavy silence that followed... well she just couldn't help herself. pistons left shallow water, bringing herself quite near to the hessian. leaning in close, kissers quietly said
No
but then she tugged on his long mane gently, and trotted off a few strides. silhouette halted and spun around to face him. tiara was held slightly askew, and a smile was sent his way. there was a daring in those wolf-like eyes; a throwback to the no. she didn't mean it; she just wanted to see if he would follow her for a bit before saying yes. Boudicca backed two steps, waiting to see if he would come after her.

Scars tell the best stories... Leo's Scar S hock plastered his profile, distress filling his crania muscle as she trotted away; how could she say no? He'd given her something he'd never given anyone before, his heart, though this was the first time he had ever believed he had one, and she stomped on it. Anger and another emotion had his center swelling, it was pain, but not the same kind he was used to. He was used to physical pain from battles and altercations with other masculine equines, but this new pain hurt worse than any he'd ever known. Optics followed her as she broke a smile to him, was she being sarcastic in her earlier reply? Hope filled his gut, the stag moved swiftly to her side, letting his muzzle glide allow her belly up to her boa. "Dear Boudicca, please reconsider your answer. I'd like to come with, I don't think I could stand to be without you." Scar grinned at the mare, circling so that he faced her, "What do you say Boudicca?" Words: 170 Muse: Crappy... golden ooids watched the behemoth as he swiftly moved to her side. the heat that radiated from his torso echoed off her own, and it was comforting, albeit strange to her find comfort in it. the agony that filled his facade when he heard her initial response was interesting; she seriously doubted even the best actor could duplicate it. was he being genuine? plenty of times she'd been asked to come back home with another. but the way he looked at her; it wasn't just desire. almost... a need? perhaps he was being sincere. just time had roughened her up to the outside. the walls that had been built around inner emotions had a sturdy foundation, and she just couldn't tear them down. they were her real protection. but still, she couldn't help but peek over. never before had a brute asked in such a way as he did. if it was a trick, there would be no sarcastic replies from her. she wouldn't just leave. if he betrayed her she'd go in for the fight, and look to give him a bad case of a hole in the head.
a small yet gentle -almost reassuring-- smile graced ebony kissers. muzzle reached out to touch the face that stood before her.
Oh, if you insist... I suppose I could give you some company
for once she didn't move away or taunt him further. Boudicca stood there patiently, waiting for him to make the next move. curiosity was perked at what kind of home this Scar kept. what kind of rules he chained to his subordinates. it wasn't often Boudicca was submissive -it simply wasn't in her nature-, but she would try to be a tad more respecting while she was there. she would take no orders; likely do the opposite. how were the others in the collection? he had better know that she was no female of a harem. carrying an unwanted child was simply intolerable; she'd kill the thing as soon as she could. nevertheless, he had mentioned that he ruled with beyond an iron fist; perhaps a bloody steel sword. it would be interesting to see.
